The Teacher Training course requires 600 hours of instruction. The student must hold a current California Cosmetology License to be eligible to enroll in this course. The educational objective of this course is to prepare the trainee to teach effectively all phases of cosmetology, manicuring and skin care. To teach leadership, student motivation, student grading and counseling, class preparation, lesson planning and goal setting. To prepare students to take their state board exams and employment in their fields. To teach ethical, business, and legal aspects of their professions. To assist students in job placement and personal problems. To teach students the information regarding the starting and operating of their own business. Through all of this you will be prepared to take your state exam for teachers. The 600 hour course is usually completed in approximately four (4) months.
